just going to pretty much echo dbrowning report from the other day. My boat started out in hawk creek. We caught one fish in a couple of hours. We were using apex,s (pink and watermelon), with cowbells, 3/4 to 1 1/4 weight and about 110-130 ft of line out. Trolling speed probably averaged 1.75mph. found browning and asked how they were doing. 1 left to go he said, Next obvious question was where(since in the same amount of time they caught 13 more fish than we did). He pointed out the area back towards lincoln and away we went. On fire! 2 fish in about 5 minutes. it was pretty awesome. after a couple hours of fishing it slowed down. decided to change out the jointed rapala (thanks for letting me borrow it). kept a apex on one pole and put on a shad rap in bright yellow/red/silver on the other pole. fish went nuts for the shad rap. Kept our last 2 for the smoker and decided to get off the lake before it got dark. Took home out limit and released almost 2 more limits. The day was one of the best ever on roosevelt. Even had nice weather.

I'd say," 2 thumbs up" for dbrowning. Sounds like he made your day! What an awesome show of sportsmanship. Great report! Thanks

Great report. I've fished at Hawks quite a bit, and towards seven bays, but never made the turn towards Lincoln. Good info for future trips.
