Headed out to Roosevelt this morning despite the thermometer reading19 degrees.Seven bays was my destination and trout my goal. I hiked down to the net pens and saw numerous mule deer who were unafraid. Got my first fish within 5 minutes,16 inches.Tried to use two poles but got too many bites to manage both. Orange Power bait and a mini marshmellow two feet off the bottom was the hot ticket, Was limited out in an hour or so, the biggest was 21 plus inches. Warmed up to 25 degrees and I had a great time.Firing up the smoker tomorow!

I've always heard of guys doing good down here in the winter. I have struck out twice there in a couple of trips. When there there, there there. Nice job. keepin it simple. it works.

7 Bays in the winter time is THE place to go for bank plunking for nice rainbow. Were you using orange powerbait dough or nuggets? With glitter or plain? Thanks for the info bro. Great report. Jiggy

I struck out there as well a few years back. Bit of a drive for me, might try again on my way to/from Colville this winter, Rufus, Ft Spokane, Chelan, Roses,,,,, Bonaparte? So many spots to try, so little time...........
