Well, Jeff and Andy beat the red paint off the hooks today. They took the Zimmerman's of Tumwater and the writer Rob Phillips out to sample the Brewster Sockeye Fishing. Once again, shrimp baited hooks behind dodgers was the key to getting these salmon to bite. They got 17 of the 18 fish limit in a just a couple of hours then proceeded to lose fish and watch the bite slow down. They finally, got that last fish.... What a day.

How deep are you fishing the DR's? Fish must be thick about now.

You really dont need downriggers for the "combat fishing" at the mouth of the Okanogan. The wife, daughter and I have done well with just 4 ounces down into the 21-24 ft depth. The wife even picked up a bonus 12lb chinook on the sockeye offering. And now with the temps in the Okanogan increasing, both the sockeye and chinook will start to stack up some.
