launched out of keller around 9 am. started out in the sanpoil. had 1 hit in about 180 ft of water. we used pink or orange apex all day. used anywhere from one quarter to one and a half ounces of lead. let out anywhere from 60 to 150 ft of line trolling at an average speed of one and a half mph. saw one other boat catch a fish. moved down to the swawilla basin. nothing and didn't see anyone else get anything. moved down to coullee dam. saw one boat catch 2. another boat said they have 2 from there and had a hit in the swawilla basin. we got out of there and ran up into the sanpoil. started trolling in about 40 ft of water and had a double on in 10 minutes, we were marking tons of fish. had another on next pass. missed several more. had major line tangle and by the time it was undone it was getting dusk and the bite died. wish i had listened to my gut and went back to the sanpoil earlier. the weather most of the day was flat calm water with some sunshine. when we finally got fish we had a slight ripple on the water and clouds had rolled in. the day wasn't as hot as expected. two of the fish were 14 in and the 3rd was 16 inches. great colored meat. plan on goiing back again this thursday and saturday.
