4 of us stayed at "Cabin By the River" as we did last year. A very good trip and great accomodations. We fished two boats, 1 fished the upper set of pens nearist the cabin on Saturday, started around 10 or so. No fish till later in the day jigging near the net pens. Kept two at about 5 to 6 lbs each. Myself and fishing partner made the trip to the lower pens and were trolling rippins minnows in a perch and trout color. Caught 5 fish total and kept the 4 biggest. 2 were right at 12 lbs and two at 8 lbs each. 2 of the fish were caught on the surface well behind the boat. All others were caught on 2.5 colors of leaded line. We were fishing on the edge of the hump just west of the pens in about 20' to 25' of water, water temp 39.9 and speed was about 1.0 into the current.
On Sunday we headed out for a couple of hours. Started trolling above the 3rd set of pens near the power line and close to shore. Flipped the bail of my leaded line pole and had a fish on right away...partner never good his rod in the water...lol. 12 lb right out of the gates. Only caught 1 other fish, about 4 lbs out in front of the pens. Were trolling the same gear as the day before. Our buddies were working the pens again and had a couple of fish jigging. We left at about 11 while they continued to fish. All in all a good trip. Better fishing this year than last. Working on smoking the fish as we speak. Hopefully Zaskar will submit the photos and maybe add a little report as well. Godd Luck out there and be safe....Danny P
