Put in at Fort Spokane around 0830. Fished above and below split rock. The usual hardbaits trolled on top were not working, and they have not been producing for us lately - real spotty. We decided we needed a slower bottom presentation. Not fond of leaded line, and the downriggers are kind of a pain, so we decided to try some bottom bouncers for the first time. We pulled shakee blade worm harneses with nightcrawlers and caught two limits in two hours. Fish were all between 15 and 18 inches. Spoke with a fish and game guy who told us they had to release all the trout from the pens early this year due to some virus. He also mentioned releasing triploids into Roosevelt less than a month ago. Water still a bit warm with a surface temp of 61. We will be spending a lot of time out here between now and Thanksgiving. Plan on heading to Hunters next week.
