Well, me and the family went out to Astoria for a week of Sturgeon fishing. Weather held up good until about Thursday last week. AM fishing was amazing off of tounge point every day. Caught a ton of shakers, one over size that was around 75 inches and got 4 keepers. Had the best luck using anchovies versus sand shrimp. Afternoons seemed pretty quiet and didn't see a lot of other boats catching them either. From what I heard yesterday just before heading back to Seattle, Sturgeon fishing had really heated up at Illwaco this past weekend. Boats (charters) were limiting out by 9am. Picture on the right is my brother in law with his 49 in keeper and the other is my wife holding her 42 in keeper.
