Oh the joys of being able to fish days other than the week end. I and a fishin' pardner , Dennis Morford hit Roosevelt the beginning of the week. We first stopped at Big Wallys and were able to get some inside pointers from Gordon. He's a great guy and has always been up front on what's happening in his neck of the woods. We were able to secure some producing baits and took to heart the advise that the bite was slowing down some. We launched at Spring Canyon and with in sight of the launched boated the first 'bow. It was probably 1400. We worked our way towards the dam and did very well before heading up to the campground for the night. Tuesday was a repeat of the previous day, with the exception of Dennis' 24' plus 'bow. There were a number of boats out in the area where we were, just up river from the dam and we noted action in nearly all of them. We left around 1300; plenty of nice big 'bows, thanks to good weather, good advise, and a free country.
