Friday was a tough day of fishing but did turn out to be a very special one bite day. Wind was blowing at 5 to 10 mph most of the morning. I was smallie fishing with my white 1/4 oz. spiner bait on a 6 ft med action rod with a small bait cast reel spooled with 10 lbs mono. Fished all the regular spots and was about ready to call it a day.It is now a little after 1 PM and we were fishing along the docks on the east side of Tapps Island when I spotted this fish under a dock. I cast wide so that the lure hitting the water would not spook him. As I brought the lure close to the edge of the dock he had already made up his mind to eat that thing. I watched him suck it in and I set the hook. The fight lasted less than 5 min and my wife netted it. This is the biggest Tiger musky I have caught it was 48 inches and 26 lbs.
To the guy that thinks we over estimate size and weight, the fish was weighed in the net with an electronic scale and the weight of the empty net was subtracted. The fish was measured with a fabric tape measure by my wife. The picture is proof because I am 6 ft 4 in and 250 lbs.
