Fished Friday night and Saturday morning out of Porcupine Bay. Caught 4 nice smallmouth up in the narrows Friday night on craw colored jigs. Sat. morning we went up the river 13 miles from Porcupine Bay and trolled plugs. Landed 1-17" walley, 2- dink walleye and a 4 lb smallie using plugs and bottom walkers. On Saturday night we trolled plugs again inside the Bay and hammered 2-18" walleye, 1-15" eye, and lost the biggest rainbow trout at the boat that I have ever seen. It would have easily gone 26-28". Wish I had a pic. Great fishing in the mornings and evenings.
