Original plan was to go to Rufus and launch at Setons Grove, however it took Mike and I close to 2 hours to get to Davenport from Spokane. The fog was crazy. So we headed to Fort Spokane, and luckily the fog was above the water. The water temp was 35 degrees. Caught one trout in front of Sterling Point around 11:30am, and then we doubled up close to Split Rock around 1:00pm. All fish were caught trolling minnows on top. The water is just to cold. All three fish were around the same size, 17 - 19 inches. Think we will wait until the water temp gets back into the mid 40s to make that trip to Rufus. Does anybody know whats was going on with Roosevelt? The trout fishing has been poor. Hook into one fish in a spot, and then nothing else. Maybe pick up one or two more somewhere else has been the theme for us. It use to be really good, you could come out, find a spot and catch a limit in half a day - not so much anymore. Anyone having any better luck?

Was there on Jan 9th. Put in at Keller Ferry. Between two of us we caught 11 Rainbows, of which we released 2 that were small, one previously injured and one native/spawning(?). Trolled about 1 mph. Fly rods, 120+' of line. One pole with small dodger, fly with 1" night crawler and corn or maggots on trailer hook. Other pole with small dodger and spinner with double hook and night crawler with corn. Cold day. Little wind. Not a bad day. Ed
