Woe is me....went to Roosevelt this morning. Roads were actually pretty good as was the boat ramp. Was surprised the water was not lower than it was, it was actually higher than it was mid December. Trolled all my hot spots with the usual gear and then some. Marked a few fish, no hits at all. Moved around and changed gear and speed...same results. Water temp was 36.6 to 36.3. Other than no fish, not a bad day on the water. I have yet to hook any fish on Roosevelt after the first of the year. Not sure where they go or what happens...just happens. DannyP

If you say where you launched it would be helpful so someone could give information for that part of the lake.
A friend took me out of Keller last week on a day when the air pressure was dropping and it tried to snow a bit. We caught a few fish, one a bruiser of an 18" rainbow, near 4 lbs., and all the action was over by 11:00 A. M.
The next day he caught ten fish, fishing alone, on rising pressure, a couple being as big as the bruiser I caught the day before. Most good rainbows and kokanees are caught down stream from Keller in the winter and in the spring and they are more spread out in the summer and fall.
When it warms up a little the walleye fishing should pick up between Kettle Falls and Hawk Creek. Hope that's some help.

Phil, You are quite right on the location. I was caught up in all the excitement and forgot to mention..Hunters boat ramp and area. I should probly pay more attention to the moon phase and or charts but do not. I have also experianced the same luck running down to Keller (1) time and 2 years ago. Keller will probly be my next stop or back over to Rufus again. What were you guys fishing with? I use a rippin minnow and a muddler with a wigglefin disc. Has produced in the past very well. Thanks for your input. DannyP

Does anyone have an update on Roosevelt around Spring Canyon? Haven't heard much of anything.
