Well two buddies and I, trolled all day from Seven Bays to Hawk Creek Bay with no luck. We tried everything. I trolled a muddler behind a dodger, one bud tried a ripping minnow and the other used a wedding ring tipped with worm. Not too mention others we tried from time to time. We fish different depths & different speeds. We were marking fish at 3' to 5', 15' to 17'' and around 30'. The water temp was 39 degrees, no wind (until the evening) and the sun was bright and warm. It was an all an all beautiful day fishing (not catching). Seen lots of wildlife Mule deer and eagles mostly. Just before dark we jigged around the docks at Seven Bays one of my buddies had a heavy feeling fish on for a few seconds. The finder showed a lot of fish on the bottom in front of the docks at 70'. My guess is at that depth they were Lings, possibly Walleye.
I am going back to Bead Lake for the next couple of fishing trips for those Mack and Lings. Good Luck and Fish On!
