I spent the last 8 days visiting my folks in Tri-Cities and my dad and I went out 3 times to fish the Columbia. I tried out the Banjo Minnow system after seeing an infomercial about them and wanted to see what the were about. Well we caught 22 bass both large and small mouth the first trip, 21 the second trip and 7 on the last short trip. I was surprised at how well these soft plastic baits work but you have to really concentrate on being a line watcher because all the hits happen on slack line as it falls. It didn't seem to matter too much which colors to use but the 4 and 5 inch ones really worked the best for us. We had a great time and its always fun to go out with my dad and fish. it reminds me of when I was small and now that we are both a lot older it's fun just to spend time together fishing. I also used a spinner bait with a silver number 2 Indiana and smaller gold Colorado blade. I used a shad colored skirt and it performed rather well especially where there was a lot of current. I must state however that this is not an endorsement for the banjo minnow system even though the worked great. I think any of dozen different plastic fish shapes would have worked just as well in a pinch. I hope you get some good info out of this report. Bruce Middleton

I have been out recently to the columbia for bass. I happened to have no luck, so I would like to ask u a few simple questions if thats ok? How deep of water were u fishing in? Were u using a weight or weight less? What was your technique used? What time of day were u fishing and how hot was it? What colors seemed to work the best for soft plastics? Besides watching the line go tight, was there any tugs or strikes that I could wait for?
