Jay lake, Snohomish county , Wa
15 mile round trip full frame pack+raft
Started trolling a size 14 orange wooley bugger that i tied, with my 3 weight, at the end of my first pass down the lake as I'm making the turn a trout breaks the surface and my rod tip starts to bury, I set the hook , fish on, 10" Brook to the boat, start trolling again tap tap, set the hook, 6" cutty (released) the action was slow after that a hit per pass, I ended up catching 3 brook trout and 4 cutthroat, released 2 that were tiny 5" all on the little orange bugger I tied. I was hoping for bigger trout than these. They went 8 1/2"- 10"

But the Brookies are the best eating fish in fresh water as far as I am concerned. Well Done.

I totally agree about the brookies, that's why I kept them, even though they were small. Thank you sir.
