Headed out on Wednesday after work. Water temp. was up around 53-53.8. Seen many largemouth. Seen a group of 10 or 12 or maybe even 15. Seen some others, as well. Threw everything that I had tied up on my 6 rods at them. Got two bites on a 10" Powerteam ribbon hinge worm but no hook ups. Fished from 4:45 until 7:25.

The following day I decided to go back and tone the bait down a bit from 10" worms and big, huge jigs to a nice little enticing morsel to see if that would help. At the dock, before I took off on Thursday, I tied on a 2/0 hook and put a 4" green pumpkin or watermelon or something Senko on, wacky rigged in hopes that would do it.

Motored to where I had seen all the fish the night before and threw that senko out there. In one hour I caught 7 LMB. One was 1 1/2 pounds, one was 2 1/2 pounds and one was 4.0 pounds. The other 4 were all 3.1 to 3 1/2 pounds. All fish caught on two senkos. All caught in a 20 foot circle. All caught after the bait hit the bottom of the lake.

I seen one come out from under a dock and look at my senko as it hit bottom. I figured I'd give it some movement but when I did the fish stopped moving. I let it sink and the fish moved closer. I wiggled it again and the fish backed off. So, I let the bait fall to the bottom and let it rest motionless. The fish went right after hit and sucked it half way in with the side of it's mouth. I waited, then it sucked it the rest of the way in and I set the hook, solid.

7 fish hooked and 7 fish caught all in the same manner.

I threw fish number 6 into the livewell so when I caught number 7 I could get a pic of the two together like in my other pictures with earlier fish. But, when I caught number 7 I had forgotten that I had one in the livewell. I took a cell phone pic of it and threw it back, a nice solid 3.5 pounder. Later that dumb fish in my livewell made a big old splash and scared the heck out of me. I had to open it up to check, yep, I had a fish in there I had forgot about. It was just so frantic, though, I lost track.

After that initial hour, I moved around to try some other spots but no luck. I came back to where I had caught all the fish and made a couple of casts and decided I would call it a night. I was kind of tired of all the action, haha, true story. So, I released number 6 at that time over a weed bed and took a short video of it with my camera disappearing into the weeds. Here is a link of the stupid video if anyone is interested.

Dead stickin' strikes again! It works great this time of year, just as you saw they get turned off by too much movement. And the 4'' senko has enough action when you just let it fall to the bottom & do it's own thing. It's been one of my favorites anytime the bites tough from early spring all the way into winter. Good work., nice report
