Well, me and big fish lite line headed up to our secret cutthroat lake today. Couldn't have asked for better weather, sunny and the water was absolutely flat calm. We pushed the canoe up to increase our chances. We started off fishing for some perch with a little luck. lite line hooked into a Nice 10.5 incher on a worm and shortly after I followed with about an 8 incher caught on a crappie jig. Then we started trolling for some trout and had some luck. We hooked into 3 cutts, all about 14-15 inches long, nice and healthy, native fish. We caught them on our homemade wedding rings with worms. Didn't manage to hook into any big ones (18+inches) like we usually do but was still a blast. All in all, a great evening. By the way, trout was in bottom of boat just long enough for a quick snapshot. Then it was safely released.
