I went out with a buddy of mine from TX in town on business, we fished the east side of the lake approx 50 yards from the beaver lodge. We arrived at roughly 5:00 pm. I started off with a mini bass rattling rapala and caught several largemouths. He used a rattling worm, motor oil color, with a TX rig set up and caught several as well ( bigger than mine) I switched to a green 4" grub with weight and nailed one more. We fished till about 7:00 pm and just worked that side of the lake, by the end of the day we had caught probably 12 or 13 largemouths. Nothing huge, but a few 1 and 2 pounders, as well as a couple of 6 or 7 inchers. Good day with a good friend, one of my favorite lakes to fish. Ive hear there is catfish in the lake, but I've been unable to hook one yet... anyone have any stories about this lake?
