Well, after that awesome day of nailing eight Crappie and one nice Pumkinseed Sunfish (released)(on my previous secret lake report), I went back two more days, both within a week of that trip and nadda. I think I even went back a third within two weeks of that trip. I'm talkin nuttin to the boat. A couple bites here and there, but nuthin doin. Who knows? Not I, that's why they call it fishin anyway right? Anyhow, here's the pic from the first report I posted that didn't come through last time.

You ever fish Martha Lake? It's in your area.

I've been meaning to. Isn't that the one right off 164th St. Exit in the Lynnwood/ South Everett area. Heard there's some decent trout/bass, etc. in there I think I've heard. If it's open year round, I'll be sure to hit it up soon. I've hit Lake Stevens three or four times in the last week and a half and have done "ok", but not great. About three weeks ago'ish, my woman and I hit double digits each in Stevens. Most were dinks; but when you're almost too busy to keep two lines in the water, it's just a good time. Lake Stevens is just so easy for me, I can see it from my upstairs deck; at least during winter when the leaves are off the trees, haha. I even hit Stevens today after work (with my woman); had numerous hits and only one to the boat. My girl was the lucky one, a monster ten incher, haha....no matter though, beautiful, sunny and on the water...just don't get much better.

no...not that one. There's a third one just north of Lake Cassidy.

Could you tell me how to get there? Is there any access for getting a 12ft aluminum boat in there or a canoe? I do know that I've seen trucks parked along HWY 9, and it looks like they are hiking down under the power lines....is that the place? If it is, I've never had the chance to check it out. If it is, is the trail easy to follow? I may just check it out shortly; any tips?

Aieet, found it on a map, if I hustle, I can get a couple hours on out there before I gotta get my son from school, yyyeeeee haaaw, new lake for me. I'll get a report up asap, I'm not expecting much, but love getting out on the water.

Well dang it, I just remembered, my girl needed my truck this morning (I was still sleeping at 2 am so I barely even remember her tellin me), her jeep has a flat (guess I'll go fix that now instead of fishin), Considering my boat's in the back of my truck. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG. No wonder I couldn't find my keys, hahahaha.

Before the powerline gate was put up the lake fished good for bass. I never checked to see what the forage was...it may be crappie or perch...but it's worth checking out. Should be about a 100 yard drag of the boat from the gate to the lake. Another to check (since you have a vehicle) is Rainbow Lake up above Granite Falls. It's private but if there's not too many houses around it, you may be able to gain access by asking. I used to fish it.
