I went on a 8.5 mile hike w/ my dad, brother, uncle,&cousin. Was the most beautiful place in the world. I went for five days not knowing if there was going to be fish or not (being that its was an alpine lake). It was sunny the whole time. Did I have any luck? I caught 38 good looking' golden trout. Ranging from 8-11". On this old little red river lure I caught about 28 on this one) and Nymph, Green, and earthworm PowerBait.
My dad and bro paid me to teach them how to fish my way. They thought you just had to toss and retrieve quickly. The fish liked it nice and slow w/ lots of movement. The lake was crystal clear, so if they came to close to the bank they would take off. although some hit 5' away from the shore. FISH THIS LAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The name of the lake is moose lake by the way.
*editor's note: although this posting was sent under "secret lakes", note the reader did include the name. So if you look it up in the Washington State Fishing Guide you should be able to figure out where it is- if it's the same lake! (hint- try a National Park. I actually hiked to this lake several years ago. It is one beautiful hike!) Mike
