I was down by the fish cleaning sink and saw these three cleaning a bucket full of fish. From left to right Geoffrey from Seattle, Maddy from Shelton and Michelle from Seattle told me they L O V E to clean fish more than they like to catch them!

Lake Mayfield is on fire now. 38 limits of trout came in over Memorial Day weekend and that was just the people I was able to talk to. Dispite the weather the trout are being caught in good numbers. Many limits include 3 or more fish over 16 inches. Trolling wedding rings tipped with worms or J & K mini trollers with 18 inch leader and #6 hook with worms is all it takes.

The perch fishing is getting better every day. The numbers are good but the fish are a little on the small side. By the end of June the perch should be good and chubby. Look for weeds in 6 to 8 feet of water and set a plain hook with a worm just above the weed tops. Once you get you fisrt bite the action is fast. Still fishing for perch is a great way to keep the little ones interested.

Small mouth bass fishing has been slow, but with the water temperature at 60 degrees now look for the action to pick up. Large mouth bass are becoming more active and are up in the warm shallows.

Almost no one is fishing for Tiger Muskies, the fish are up in the warm shallows and holding near submerged stumps and wood in the water. Large spinner baits in the 1 ounce range with white skirts and silver blades have produced the last two boated.
