Got up this morning after seeing some - from what I think - OK tides to fish before work. Got to the hole a couple hours before peak low tide and only got to fish for less than an hour before work. It was raining but not too bad. Wind was negligible. Arrived before light and got my rigging ready and picked up some trash and extra line nearby until it got light enough to see my line and rigging. The river wasn't extremely high taken the tidal timing but it was flowing.

My drift fishing rig was some pencil lead on a snap (about 1/4 oz or so) and a 14"-16" leader with an orange tipped brass dick nite. Hit up some seams for the 30 or so minutes I was actually fishing and had quite a few snags in the grass and maybe a nibble or two I missed. Not quite sure but if I was a betting man I'd bet on the seaweed. Luckily I was able to pull out of most of these snags and didn't lose a rig today. I dialed in my pencil weight a little better but didn't feel much of anything as so far bites or action. I would bounce along quite a few times in my drift close to a target zone where I saw some rolling but nothing seemed to take. I saw a few smaller jacks roll a few times after wards and 2 other guys started to fish the other side of the foot bridge about 10 minutes before I left.

After a dozen or so drifts I checked the clock and it was time to leave to go punch in at the office. Nothing doing - again - on the Duwamish river but I will stay persistent. I'm not exactly sure if it's the motion of my drift, the lures and rigging I'm using, or the time of day and spots I'm choosing but I hope to get this dialed up and actually catch something on this system.
