Fishing the rapids just below the bridge, and a large Salmon (for the nooksack) probably 20 pounds swam right past my feet, and settled in, in the rapids 20 feet upstream from me. I tried to get my spinner in front of it, but the fish spooked and took off across the rapids back sticking out and all. Lots of aggressive small rainbows around 6", and another species I couldnt identify, they are about 6" also, but just silver. No spots, no markings, just a long and skinny silver fish...
Several of them nabbed my spinner as I retrieved it. All were carefully let go.
