Fished the barrier dam after reading reports of a few salmon being kept, including some coho on the wdfw sw Washington fish report. I was hoping the rain might entice some fresh fish upstream, but I was not fortunate enough to see any. No rollers. Only saw one person with a fish on that looked like it had a bit of life, and unfortunately it broke the guys line. I brought in one chinook, and broke another off mostly because I was horsing it a bit. Neither fish made any kind of a run, so pretty worn out. The super low water conditions are making it tough. On the upside, every fisherman was being respectful of other guys, giving them room to fight there fish, and every fish I saw brought in was hooked in the mouth. With a little effort, we can all have a good time, which is half the reason for being out there. Getting to take home a fresh fish would be nice too.
