Well didn't get a thing.....but whats new this year so far. I was fishing at harksell and flynn bar today. Harksell was pretty dead, didn't really see anything roll. Flynn bar was a bit better just because I at least saw signs of life. Wasn't a whole lot though a few fish at most probably. Maybe I should have tried below the slater road bridge, there were probably about 10 cars or so on either side of the road. They must know something I don't.... Still a nice evening to get out and spend it fishing. I was mainly throwing various spinners and twitching jigs. Hopefully things will pick up in the coming weeks.....

A lot of the fish have moved upriver to where the river is closed with the last rains. More are on the way too.

I wouldn't doubt it! Last week there was a good amount of action in the lower river. I need to make a trip up further maybe next weekend??

Can you suggest a good drift right now? This is a new river to me. Where would you launch?

Upper was a bust 3 days in a row, from everson all the way to the north fork / south fork confluence and up the north fork to mosquito lake road..... Tomorrow morning I am walking up the north fork from the confluence packing heat..... . Yesterday morning I saw a skiff blow up the north fork at a good rate of speed under the HWY 9 bridge heading north, I'm wondering if some illegal nets are in the water up there or they are doing test nets of the water shed.... I cant see why in gods green earth they are running nets up there but It wouldn't surprise me...
