I had been excited about this fishery for weeks, and the delay was killing me. The fish counts at Baker Lake were getting pretty decent, so I thought there would be more fish in the river. More than 15 rods on the bar, saw 2 caught at first light and a couple others lost or missed throughout the morning, but really slow overall

Any nets in the river? If the nets are in the numbers available for recreational catch will be thinner and the fish that make it up river may be more skittish and less apt to bite. Of course, also depends upon how far you are fishing above, below, or between net sets.

I have never targeted Sockeye.
What gear is the go to set up?
Any pictures of it?
Thanks in advance for helping out a rookie!
