We spent three days in the Potholes area May 20-22. My brother Greg came out on the 21st and landed this lunker Smallmouth near the Mardon Resort. He caught him with a nightcrawler. The Bronzeback was 18 1/2" and tipped the scales at 3.4 lbs. The weather was rainy and we couldn't have had more fun. Fishing was unusually slow for us these three days. We couldn't coax any Walleye into biting. But we did muster up some good size Largemouth and Smallmouth. My family loves the Potholes area and we usually camp at the Seep Lakes. It is always a good time and we can't wait to go back.
