This post is for the whole month of May and first weekend of June. We've caught quite a few Bass during our outings up on the mighty PO, anywhere from 15-25 between the 2 of us on each outing, average was 2-4lbs but nothing over 5lbs, close though. The largies were pretty heavy in all the sloughs and the smallies were hanging out in their usual places along the sandy and rocky areas in the main part of the river. We used mainly plastics, the zoom pumpkin seed trick worm, the zoom 8" grape/black lizard, tubes and white chatterbait with a white curly tail grub trailer. During a couple outings I was casting the lizard on the bank and pulling it off and wam! Really exciting fishing, like frog fishing in the lilies! I included a couple eagle pic's the wife took as we watched one babe mature during the month.
