Headed out to Tokul yesterday. With no surprise I joined the typical army of fishermen lining the usual holes up and down the creek. This was my 5th or 6th trip to Tokul since it opened, I hooked two nice fish over the past few trips but couldn't land either. Anyone who has fished this creek understands that landing the fish is the hardest part (after you figure out how to NOT snag every cast). I finally landed one yesterday. A nice 29" buck, I estimate in the 7-9 lb range. Not a bright chrome or anything but a good fish for Tokul in my opinion. Tasted great last night! I saw a few other guys with fish yesterday and have seen a couple guys with fish almost everyday I have gone. The fish are there, not in the quantities that we would all like, but they are around. Good luck out there.

Nice fish. Congrats on landing it. This is my first season at Tokul and had been out two times. I know exactly what you mean about landing one. I actually hooked one on my first trip but thought I snagged bottom like every other time. But it started to run up stream. Needless to say I did not land it. Had it on my hook for about 10 seconds. Never the less still felt pretty lucky to have hooked up. It is defiantly different kind of fishing.
