Hit the river at Metzler's at about 9. Fished corky and yarn in pinks and oranges for about 45 min, then floated a slider with a 1/4oz Maribou in pink and white underneath right off the bank. Had a monster on within 5 minutes that ran downstream, taking about half my line before spitting the hook. 3 casts later, it was fish on again, nice hen, landed smoothly. Called it after that to head to my mothers for her birthday. A great morning on the river. 6 or 8 other people fishing upstream, didn't see them with any bites, but who knows. River was back in good shape. Some silt left over, but enough visibility to make it work.
