First of all thanks to those folks that provided some great tips and suggestions on where to go.
My son and I took one of my co-workers fishing for Chums. I haven't been out for Chum in years and wasn't sure where to go and what gear was best.
We got to Minter Park about 7:30. Water was a little high making it hard to find an open area on the shore to fish but the color was great and totally fishable.
We fished for a few hours. Then the rain really started to come down so we packed it up. No chum for us and I'm sure it was because we forgot to pick up some prawns on the way so we had to use eggs and jigs. But it was still great to get out there. I did catch a beautiful little rainbow about 8 inches. It was a feisty little guy. Do they stock the green with bows? Of course it was released with out any harm.
We saw about 10 or 12 Chums caught and one Coho.
Will have to hit the green again and be a bit more prepared.

There are definitely rainbows in the Green River...and sometimes they go out to the saltwater and come back as steelhead but some are resident fish. A steelhead is just a sea-run rainbow trout.
