Hit the Stilly by Silvana just after sun up. Went to a stretch I had not fished before but "No Trespassing" signs that suddenly show up prevented me from going to my favorite spot. Fishing was awesome except the fact that I was catching Pinks and not the preferred Silvers. Granted, the Pinks were bright and full of life. I guess the Silvers are still hanging out in the sound waiting for the water to rise.

You know I saw the same No Trespassing sign.... it said "no fireworks" under it and there was one truck parked outside the gate. Can anyone confirm access is no longer allowed at that location?

The one I'm talking about is just south of the bridge by the Little White Church. At the access point you could cross this field that has never been planted with anything other than weeds. There are quite a few good holes down in there. I am going to try to get a hold of someone to see if the no trespassing is just for vehicles or foot traffic also.

I seen this at the spill way field, and on the gate. Then Mr. Cotton Wood fell on it, folks going in there.

Bigemann is talking about the spot by the white church, not near i5. i know both of these locations well. The spot you are talking about Bigemann is a great stretch to fish. I got my personal best coho there 2 years ago at 13 lbs. I was fishing there after many great trips (before no trespassing signs) and one day a warden who was watching me with his binoculars for quite some time came and politely told me it was private property and you can not fish there without permission and i have yet to go back to that spot.
As for the locations with the cotton wood over the gate. Ive seen cars going there. If its posted its hard to come up with excuses, but that hole is great and im sure worst case youd get a warning from a warden. Wouldnt hurt to try and find landowners and ask, many are nice and just want to keep river riff raff out.
This rain ought to turn the Stilly on full blast finally!
Keep the rivers clean and Tight lines!
