Fishing was a little tough last saturday on Sprague, too calm with too clear a sky after having a week with clouds and rain. Nevertheless, you could scratch out a few fish with a little work. I caught two keeper Walleye, 5 sub-legal Walleye, one Smallmouth, and one Crappie. I got on the lake at 6:00 AM, but my bite did not happen untill around 10:00 AM. I left by 2:00 PM so I don't know how the afternoon bite was.
I have seen reports that trolling blades is not working, but it caught 3 of my fish for the day. Trolling crank baits caught two more fish and the last two were from casting cranks. The key for me was to fish spots that others don't bother with, and that means water that I considered less productive in past years.
Overall, the day was not too bad.
