Arrived at first light. Seen some jumping coho the day before so decided to drift eggs today. Setup my gear, baited and cast out. Felt three quick tugs right away so I set the hook. Fish on! These all went down within 5 seconds of my first cast. Holy smokes! Had a good fight before landing it on the beach. A nice fat buck just shy of 23 inches. 5 minutes later LTrain arrived at the beach and came over to see the fish. He had heard I got a coho. I guess news does travel fast. Ha Ha. My hopes were up for limiting on coho today. But it was not to be. That was the only bite I had. I did also hooked a 5 inch bullhead. LTrain and his friend (I guess the one he referred as the rookie?) also landed few fish as well. Good times! Left around 8:45am with my first coho of the year.

hooksetjou, I scouted for your purple jig but the afternoon tide was strange, it was a very high low tide, with only about 1/3 of the beach being usable. I did see a new snag where your jig would be, so hopefully you snuck down today and got it. That is indeed the rookie, he's starting to catch me and has a couple nice cohos on his card so I need to get with it!

Thanks LTrain. My weekdays are shot as far as fishing goes so need to wait for the weekend. It might be gone by then. As for the coho, I'm sure you will start to get them. You know that hole better than anyone else. Tight lines buddy! I'll see you out there!
