arrived with a freind at about 9 am just about near the toyota dealership. several people on this stretch, but not too bad. in an hour my friend had his limit, when his reel broke; so good timeing on that. i had brought my trout rod, and could not get a hook set. lol. the fishing is slower than in past pink years, and the fish, well, i have never seen pinks this consistently small. like large kokanee. which is why as i type this, on the 25th, im getting ready to go koke fish. fall is in the air. my favorite time of year. next monday, chuck and i will take a few days down on the coast. eggs and bobbers in tidewater, for chinooks. this will be our third season doing this. and i have a feeling it will be the most productive, with the nets told to stay out of the water till the eighth of september. and you cant argue with the dropping of the wild coho rule, and up to four adults a day allowed-including chinook. will be interesting to see how our pink runs turn out. i think within a week, will tell the tale.
