Decided to try out Puyallup for the fisrt time this year. Have been hearing Pinks are in. I went to my favorite hole. As I was walking in,I stopped to talk to several fishermen who said it was dead, No fish being caught at all. Many thought the recent rains pushed fish up river. When I got there it was pretty slow maybe one fish every 20 minutes among about 25 fisherman. I heard a report of a king being caught early in the morning but never saw it. I finally caught one so I decided to stick around until the incoming tide change. At the change Myself and Rudi stated slaying them and I had my limit in about 20 minutes. So they are coming in. Most were a lot smaller than last year but looks like there will be a lot. Great day and met nice people so worth the trip. Corkies yarn and long leaders is the ticket.
Also as many have said if you pack it in please pack it out, and lastly respect private property. There are plenty of places to fish with public access.
