Tough outing tonight. Took my brother in law to my recently discovered honey hole and only landed three fish between us. Barely any other bites, didn't lose any (normally will hook and lose quite a few jumpers). There was a noticeable fresh algae scum on the rocks and a massive fly hatch neither of which were present last week or prior so the conditions possibly played a part. I haven't reported every time but have fished here every Tuesday evening lately with pretty decent success. Last week was drilling them on a Pop-R right here tonight not a bite on it.
We are thinking of trying closer to the state line next week. The water is super low, I'm new to river fishing but I can see how it might not be holding fish like it has potential to right now. Might head down to deeper water AKA Long Lake also.
