Good start to the summer steelhead season. Got to the river at first light and within 45 minutes had my first one on the bank. Caught on a 1/8oz pink/white aerojig. Fought good and jumped several times, measured 26". Not huge but feisty. Caught the second one on a 1/8oz nightmare jig about 50 yards where I caught the first at the head of the hole. Second fish, although smaller, fought harder making several runs but only measured 24". Both chrome bright hens. Saw a couple guys with some nice ones. Was nice seeing the rain finally and didn't mind the pouring rain at times one bit. Water is still very low. Can only imagine what its going to look like later this summer. Fish are in, go get'em
