I decided to go rub elbows with the drift boat guys. I got a late start at the crossover bridge. A sled came down and hooked one right in front of me, but broke it off so I knew there was a few fish in the river. I fished up as far as I could wade, then down around the corner. I didn't have any more action there, so I went up to the white bridge. I was starting to lose hope, then my bobber went down hard and I felt some head shaking. I landed the skinniest steelhead I have ever seen. I refer to them as "down river" fish since it didn't have any eggs in her. I thought that the state usually punch the gill plate after they spawn them though. That was the only bite of the day. I fished back down at the crossover bridge right as it got dark. It seemed that the boats were averaging about a fish a piece.
Im not very familiar with this river, I think the spots I named are correct. Also, it seems that either guys are throwing eggs, sand shrimp, or fly fishing. And of course backing plugs. If I wasn't so lazy, I would probably through bait also. I caught my fish on an all pink jig.
