My son and I hit the Snoqualmie River at 7am. We started at the mouth of Tokul creek at big eddy. There were about 6 other people who were fishing in big eddy itself. After not getting any bites for an hour, we moved to another spot where we could fish in the eddy. Still no luck. We were there for about 4.5 hours and only saw one fish caught. However, we had a few really good bites. The one really strong one I had I lost because I got overly excited and set the hook too quickly.

We tried multiple different types of jigs - pink, orange, nightmare, white, etc. We also tried spinners with sand shrimp but were unsuccessful. We actually lost more gear this time than the entire year of fishing. We're not giving up though and will be back there soon.

Thanks for sharing, scotrobe; I remember catching my first two Steelhead at the mouth of Tokul. Keep up the good work, my friend.

It's my pleasure. I appreciate when people report even if they haven't caught anything. It helps me decide when and where to go.
