Hit the hatchery this morning with a full arsenal of fish catching equipment. Got there to a full parking lot and a large crowd of people fishing the banks on both sides of the river.

I tried everything I had with zero bites. Only saw 1 fish pulled out of the water in 4+ hours of fishing. The wind made casting next to impossible as well.

Next time!

Thanks for the report and the photos. In contrast, the Newport launch on Lake Washington had one other trailer in the lot when I arrived at 10:00am.

Next season will be worse because of the WFC vs WDFW lawsuit. I think I might just take next winter off.

WDFW will pay the Wild Fish Conservancy $45,000 for litigation expenses,...

I love it when a federally funded group (WFC) can turn around and sue the government...

FWIW..... (disclaimer, I am not affiliated with any of these groups, but thank them for their efforts)

I saw mention of this on the front page of "the Reel News" - Nov edition - this is the freebie paper you can pickup around town - i got mine at cabela's. Anyway, a search on the web (search "tokul hatchery perkins coie" then a little bit of wading through internet debris) will return stuff like this....

"A huge congratulations and thank you to the Steelhead Trout Club of Washington for intervening in the Wild Fish Conservancy lawsuit against WDFW and the Tokul Creek Hatchery! They have hired Perkins Coie Law firm to keep WFC from stopping upgrades to the Tokul Creek Hatchery. This is a big win for the fishing public on the Tokul Creek litigation filed by the Wild Fish Conservancy (WFC). All WFC charges have been dismissed with prejudice and cannot be refiled in a mediation hearing before the state Shorelines Hearing Board."

Miles and Miles of River and you go Combat Fishing? Lots of great bank access on the Sky. Reiter is a Gong Show.

Reiter is "the Gong Show" I go there sometimes, like during the play off games last year. I went 1/2 before the game starts and there were only 4 people there, it was great got a limit in a jiffy as there was no pressure.
