Went out to the Green in Kent to see that the river was high and fast. Didn't have much hope of catching. Drifted eggs for a bit, but as I said too high and fast. So switched to corky and yarn. As soon as I did I hooked into this brute! Isn't it a bit early for these guys this far upstream? I was after coho, but may have been happier to land this guy. If the coho run's over I'm totally okay as long as there are chum in the river. This beast was damn fun to fight in the strong current!

Thanks, guys! Wasn't my first chum to catch but was my first to eat and I gotta say he tasted pretty good! Nice pinkish orange flesh and much firmer than pinks. Can't wait to catch more - not to eat but just to fight!

Awesome job! I checked out the river a little farther north at lunch today and it was MUDDY! Heard something splash down river from me, but couldn't get any interest on my eggs. Nice job finding some action.

That's a monster chum! The green definitely gets some brutes. Twice as big as the average minter creek chum I'd say, especially the bucks

Nice! If you want the meat on Chum to taste decent, peel the skin off first. Not sure why Chum skin goes bad so fast, but it really ruins the meat if you cook it or brine it with it on. I always freeze them first, then the skin peels off just like a strip of leather.

OUTSTANDING... It is not at all irregular that you find one like the You have... Being in Kent though is a bit early... BUT NOT by very many days... Tight Lines!!!

I don't fish the green but where I am fishing the coho are just starting to pick up. It's not over yet if you know where to look.
