Went to the Snoqualmie River above the Tolt River. didn't see anyone. I went up River about a miles or so in my canoe with electric motor. tried Blue Fox lures and a Brads wiggle wart and jigs. Nothing happening. In 3 hours saw two jump. I was wishing I had gone to the Snohomish or Duwamish. I headed backhome and a few hundred yards from the launch, a fish surface behind me and under a tree. I went back and cast a pink maribou jig. It got hit hard right away. It felt Big! The fish slowly dragged me across the river (100 -150 feet?) (motor off) I could see about 10" deep and occasionaly I could see my fish. It slowly tired but not before giving me some great runs and pulling me back across the river to the original bank. I eventually netted it - a wild King salmon, my guess is about 10 -12 lbs, got the jig out and let it go. The whole fight took about 20 minutes. I figure it was about 32 inches.
One other boat out, he caught nothing and only saw two jumpers.
For me this day was a 10 out of 10. ( I took up Salmon fishing last October, so I am still learning)
