Went to the cedar yesterday afternoon looking for some rainbows and maybe some cutthroat ended up finding a nice 20" wild steelhead with a nice coating of sea lice on it. Caught her on an size 18 pheasant tail dropper under 6x tippet. It was a pleasant surprise and a nice way to end my season on the cedar. Also caught 4-5 nice rainbows between 12-16 inches and of course millions of tiny guys under 10"

Nice fish! However, it is a resident. Sea lice are brown in color, the copepod you show on the fin is found in fresh water and commonly referred to as a gill louse. In Lake Washington they really hit the kokanee and young sockeye hard.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't gill lice generally found in gills and aren't sea lice generally found near or around the fishes anal fin?

I don't see any sea lice, let alone a "nice coating" of them. Nice fish though.

They can be found anywhere on the fish. The latch on to weak points which are usually the gills, but can be anywhere a few scales were lost, an open sore, scratch, etc.
