I know my report is not a current one but wanted to share anyways. I had an excellent fishing day at reiter hatchery side, fished with two of my brothers, all 3 of us caught our first steelhead. Two of my brothers caught their steelhead around 3:30pm after few hours of fishing. I was fishing most of the day with no takers. I was about to call it quits for the day but then decided to put a light pink 1/8 oz jig tipped with live sand shrimp. I cast my float and let it float almost all the way down to the big rock. So I tried a different method of a slow retrieve since it was tipped with a shrimp to see what happens, As I was watching my float and jig on the retrieve I've seen something just came on top of the water, and WHAMM! attack my jig. And by the feel of it I knew it was something big. At times the steelhead felt like it was just sitting like a rock and not budging. After I started to reel the fish a little closer that thing just booked spooling my line out. After it spooled my line out the line got tangled under a huge log on the bank on the right side of Reiter. But good thing one guy jumped in the water and untangled my line. Then after exhausting 20+ minute fight I finally brought the fish in and it was a monster hatchery steelhead! I measured it at exactly 37" long. So an excellent day of fishing and not bad for a first steelhead.

There were guys that came up to me and said wow,l that's the biggest fish they've ever seen that's been caught at Reiter. So guys any comments? Has anyone seen a bigger fish that came out of Reiter?

Thank whisk, yeah it was good fishing around mid- end of July, after was very slow, now looks like there are fish in there and looks to be biting on orange color jigs or beads or corkie size #6 or 8. You'll get your, it's all about right day, right time

My fish was 37 inches not 37cm

37cm is 14.5 inches. If you can catch a 14" steelhead than that's would be a miracle, cuz steelhead is only considered a steelhead at 20" or more, otherwise its a a trout

Not every fish caught gets posted in the reports.
And a solid 20 pounds.

First of all I am over 6' and the fish does go to my waist, as I do have many other pictures of proof, second of all there were guys that's helped me net the fish, and saw me measure it, (they might see this post and confirm) I've been fishing for over 25 years I don't exaggerate on size of fish I catch, third of all who said my fish wasn't 20lb, if anyone caught a bigger one that's great, I don't hate, I congratulate, and obviously, you are a hater, this site is for fisher men circle, positive responses and not haters posting hate posts,
When you will post a report with a fish somewhat even close,to my size , than will talk. And don't worry when I posted this report , I expected some haters to crawl out.

Have a good night, and don't drink too much of that hateraid.

I see you are still sipping the hateraid, and if you know how to read, I said has anyone seen a bigger one came out of reiter, since guys came up to me and said it's the biggest one they seen, came out if reiter, not bragging, (that why I didn't care to post the report, which I caught that fish about 3 weeks ago and just only put out that report ) I was just curious to see, I personally don't care if someone caught a 32lb, So quit hating and just move on guy

Another guy that hasn't posted a fishing report ever on the site "encouraging" others to post reports with his positive contributions. Yes, that was sarcasm.
