Went out all day with my buddy and we each caught 1 steelhead each. Both Hachery. Released them back to hopefully get them to grow to monsters. Mine was 5 pounds, My buddies was 4 pounds.

why would you do that when those fish are heading back to the hatchery to get lethal spawned. they are not gonna get bigger and you will not recatch those fish ever again.

nice. i caught my first steely there last year drifting corky and yarn for chum, winter run at North Green River park. how was the water where you were fishing? (fast, deep?) what were you using? drifting? floating?

The water was about 5 feet deep. not extremely fast. we were both using a pink aero jig when we caught them. used it with a bobber and let it float down the river.

What stretch of the river did you fish? High up towards Kanaskat or down below?
