Today was my first time fishing the Sky. Began fishing Reiter at 7 with bobber n' jig, ended by noon drifting yarn and artificial eggs across from the Sultan boat launch. Didn't personally see a fish caught or even hooked up today although I had recently read the fishing was more than ideal. Any tips for someone new to fishing the system?? Would be much appreciated

Don't feel alone. We put in at about 7 miles north of the Sultan launch site and fished hard for 11 hrs. We back trolled, back bounced, hit every hole with floats and without, Not one taker. Eggs, shrimp, spoons, I didn't matter. Good time but no fish. I will be back though.

I can tell that you are fishing the wrong area for the reports you heard about that are more than ideal. Not much action on the lower sky Look further up river is all I can say. The joy in fishing sometimes is finding new areas on your own to fish.

Fish were being caught left and right yesterday, but in boats- from A few miles below Sultan to the boat launch on Ben Howard Rd. I had no hook ups from the bank, but sure saw a lot of action, some kings as well.
