Yakima River in Kittitas County

The Yakima river is back on track, 'big' and the entire river is 'fishable' right now. At this time of year everything is going to change on a daily basis. Yesterday we had boats down in the Lower Canyon.... From Ringer down to Llumma. Caddis and PMD's were the fare. Yesterday we found fish feeding on PMD's on the surface for about an hour 1:30 to 2:30 PM. The remainder of the time was a nymph game.

Fishing is average to good depending on the day. The big winds and sun make for a 'tougher' day. over the next month the menu will include more Caddis in #14-18, #16 PMD's, #12 Drakes, #6 Golden Stones, #12-16 Ants.
