I met a friend of mine at the bridge hole around 10:00 am. threw the tackle box at the river, no bites until about 12:30 I finally got a bite and fish on drifting a pink fly/split shot on my spinning rod. Spit the hook before I could land it, looked like a coho. After a while I switched to a black maribou jig with a red bead and a white head. As I was letting my jig sink I felt my line stop drifting, wasnt sure if it was bottom or not, if in doubt set the hook, sure enough I had a big coho on, i was using my trout rod w/ 6lb mono so it took a while to fight him in. 10 minutes after I hooked up I landed it, snapped a quick pic without removing its head from the water, and released it. About an hour later I hooked up with a steelhead briefly on a gold size 4 blue fox, didnt have it on very long before it rolled off the hook, but I got a good look at it, as it was in shallow water. I c&rd 2 coho, lost 1 coho and lost a steelhead by the end of the day, not lights out fishing, but not a bad day on the water.
