Worked Friday in the LC Valley and as usual took advantage and fished the area. Headed up to Orofino for the weekend to back troll for Steelhead. I have been reading it has been phenomenal so I had to do it. I know your only allowed 1 fish under 28" a day with possession limit of 3. Normally your allowed 3 fish any size with 9 in possession. This yr they say there is not a very good run so they knocked the limits way down to make sure they get the quota for the hatchery. Normally this is where I would be every chance I got. Catch and release is fine with me. I already have 24 on my Washington punch card.

Well it was fishing as normal for this time of yr on the Clearwater River. Fished Peck to Lenore and did just fine. I caught several fish before I caught a keeper each day. All fish were 26" to 36".

Seems to me there are plenty of fish in the river. I was hoping they would change the restrictions when the hatchery got there quota.
